Shafi Hadi

An interesting saxophonist, competent on both tenor and alto, Mr Curtis Porter, lately known as Shafi Hadi, took an important part in Mingus records during the whole 50's, from Debut sessions to Ah Um and Weary Blues.
While he also had been involved in other groups, he almost disappeared sometime during the 60's, and is mostly remembered for his contributions to Mingus formations.
